Jacob Dahl Jürgensen’s Biography and Exhibitions
acob Dahl Jürgensen’s work is informed by a blurred recollection of the histories of Modernist art and design; the social and spiritual ideologies and aesthetics underpinning much of the creative output of the avant-garde but seen through the distorting prism of contemporary culture. Jurgensen’s Folly (The Mystical’s Sphere) nods to the futuristic architecture of Tatlin and Fuller; the sparse copper structure standing as a theatrical oracle, emanating a primitive occultism from the power of low-watt light bulbs.intertwining recognisable forms and ideologies with fragments of popular culture to create ritualistic monuments divining a contemporary spirituality.
Foxy Production presents recent work by Frank Hannon, Jacob Dahl Jürgensen and David Noonan, three London-based artists who examine interconnections between memory, performance, and ritual. Making the known seem uncanny, they mix references and genres to explore how common practices and codes can determine notions of self.”Within Jürgensen’s theatre of ideas, scientific principles are read in the runes of alchemical experimentation and symbols that refer to mystic cults are mixed with others that mirror the signs of contemporary, urban society. Jacob Dahl Jürgensen has exhibited internationally, most recently at Galerie Kamm, Berlin, Foxy Production, New York, and at Schnittraum, Cologne. He will participate in ‘Curacione Geomtricaa’, a group show, at The Reliance in May and a group show at Galerie Rüdiger Schöttle, Munich, in July. He is currently exhibiting a collaborative work in Simon Dybbroe Møller’s show ‘On Ill Winds and Loss of Sanity’ at westlondonprojects.Jacob Dahl Jürgensen combines references to avant-garde aesthetics, esoterica and popular culture. Staged as items reminiscent of an ethnographical collection, his sculptures can be perceived as ritualistic relics from a semi-recognizable civilization. In ‘Astrolabe’ (2005) for instance, a battered mirror-ball suspended in a constructivist frame is presented along with other artifacts as a primitive astrological device found in an archaeological excavation. Jürgensen’s sculptures function like small narratives that create paradoxes and parallels which seem just as obvious as they are impossible.

I need suggestions for a girl puppy name?
Ok my boyfriend and i got a dog yesterday. She is a Boxer/Labrador Mix. We are having trouble figuring out what to name her. There are alot of dogs in the family somewhere so we cant use any of those names so we are really having trouble naming her. I will post a picture and maybe that will help for suggestions.

Princess- my uncles dog
Foxy- my grandmas dog
Hailey- boyfriends brothers dog
Daisy- bfs sisters dog
Penny- bfs sisters dog
Zoey- my brothers dog
Shadow- my brothers dog
